May Day live DJ stream to support charities

All Night Passion, RARE, Aberdeen-based DJs and promoters teamed up with Scottish and international DJs for a May Day live stream to raise funds for Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE) and the NHS Together Charities.

The online live stream is taking place on Sunday, May 10 between 4pm-12am, delivering the phenomenal Siberia Vodka Bar atmosphere to the comfort of the audience’s living room.

Eight DJs will ensure that the listeners will not miss out on the May Day shenanigans this year, including Liam Doc, JD Twitch (Optimo) and others.

The All Night Passion duo hosted a successful charity DJ night in aid of CFINE in April, raising vital cash for the food bank operator. CFINE maintains a contact-free emergency food delivery service for people facing difficulty during the coronavirus outbreak.

Rory Mason, RARE co-founder, said: “May Day LIVE aims to lift spirits during this lockdown whilst raising funds for charities who help the most vulnerable in our society.

“Through a collaborative effort of DJs and visual artists, we have put together 8 hours of carefully curated acts for everyone at home to dance to and enjoy this May Sunday.”

Mark Paterson, All Night Passion co-founder, said: “We wanted to put on another event after last month’s successful live stream, which raised over £1300 for CFINE.

“May Day is now a highlight in our calendar, so we are extremely happy to pull together this massive line up and hope to raise a lot of money for CFINE and NHS Charities Together.”

Lisa Duthie, CFINE chief executive, said: “CFINE is grateful for the initiative of All Night Passion, RARE, and the other artists contributing to Sunday’s event. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who donated to the live stream appeal in April or will do so this weekend.

“As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, the need for our emergency food services tripled. CFINE is distributing over 1,500 emergency food parcels weekly with the help of our partners. The funds raised through the May Day LIVE will go a long way supporting CFINE’s cause and the fantastic NHS Together Charities.”
