McGill's Buses, the company running the Aberdeen Adventurer tours, has been named Scotland's favourite bus operator by watchdog Transport Focus.

McGill's received an overall satisfaction score of 97%, the highest in the whole of Britain, The Scotsman reports.

The Greenock-based firm, which runs the Aberdeen Adventurer open-top tour bus set to return on March 30, improved its satisfaction score by 9% on the previous year.

Transport Focus's latest Your Bus Journey report revealed "significant improvements" across Scotland as a whole in bus passenger satisfaction levels.

The data was compiled from a poll of 3,342 people asked about their experience travelling by bus that day.

Total bus journeys in 2024/25 rose by 2% to 334million, according to Transport Scotland figures.

However, that remains 7% below pre-pandemic levels recorded in 2019/20.
