The McGinty’s Group has been named as the new matchday hospitality and catering partner for Cove Rangers.
The Aberdeen-based company is well known throughout the north-east and runs some of the area’s most popular outlets, including The Silver Darling, No. 10 Bar and Restaurant and Under The Hammer.
McGinty’s will provide meals for hospitality guests in the lounge, operate the kiosks and stalls, and take over the running of the Fan Zone, which will be revamped for the start of the club’s debut season in the cinch Championship.
Club chairman, Keith Moorhouse, said: “I would like to thank Gary Johnstone and Teri Greig of Haar Rock Coffee for the work they have done in recent years, and I am now excited to work with McGinty’s.
"With Cove stepping up to the highest level we have played at, we were looking to expand and improve all aspects of the club, and I have no doubts the new partnership will go a long way to helping us achieve that.
“The McGinty’s Group has an outstanding track record in the industry, and I’m sure we will work well together. I look forward to seeing their exciting plans come to fruition.”
Allan Henderson, the director of the McGinty’s Group, added: “As a local business, we have watched the remarkable progression of Cove in recent seasons, not only on the field but also off it and we are delighted to now be part of the journey.
"In our venues, we pride ourselves on providing the finest Scottish hospitality and that will be no different at Cove. We look forward to engaging with supporters to ensure they can enjoy their match day experience to its fullest.”
Further plans to enhance the supporters’ matchday experience will be announced in due course.
