Give us the elevator pitch for your business.
J+S Subsea is a UK-based subsea controls and engineering company specialising in the manufacture, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of subsea control and distribution systems. We deliver bespoke engineered solutions to offshore operators and contractors, helping extend asset life, reduce downtime, and maintain reliable offshore operations.
Who are your customers?
Our customers include offshore energy operators, vessel owners, and service companies. We support subsea capital projects and inspection, repair, and maintenance scopes across oil and gas, decommissioning, and renewables, working with clients who require reliable delivery in complex offshore environments.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
The UK market remains challenging, with ongoing cost pressures and reduced operator spend continuing to impact activity. At the same time, this is creating increased demand for asset life extension, refurbishment, and efficient long-term infrastructure support.
Alongside opportunities in the energy transition, international growth also remains an important focus for J+S. We continue to support clients with bespoke subsea solutions that help maximise reliability, extend equipment life, and support evolving operational requirements across both traditional and emerging energy sectors.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Subsea and offshore industries, investing early in integrity, maintenance, and fit-for-purpose engineering helps reduce risk, improve reliability, and lower whole-life costs. Open communication and a collaborative approach between suppliers and clients almost always lead to stronger long-term outcomes.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
One of the best things about being a Chamber member is access to a strong local business community. It creates valuable opportunities to build relationships, increase visibility, and connect with organisations across the region, helping support collaboration and growth across the energy sector and wider business community.
