Give us the elevator pitch for your business:
With five decades of experience, CHAP Group is one of Aberdeen’s longest‑established construction companies. Our work spans major construction projects, civil engineering, and the delivery of high‑quality private homes. The past five years have seen substantial growth and diversification across the business, supported by a strong focus on our people, the quality of our work, and the value we deliver to clients and communities.
Who are your customers?
CHAP Group works with a broad range of clients across Scotland and further afield, spanning both the public and private sectors. Our customers include local authorities, housing associations, commercial organisations, private developers, homeowners and local businesses. With offices in Aberdeen and Dundee, we are well placed to support projects across the country, building long-term relationships and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
A key challenge facing the construction sector is the ongoing skills shortage, particularly the need to attract new people into the industry as demand continues to grow. For CHAP Group, this also represents a significant opportunity. As we continue to grow our presence in Dundee and across the wider region, developing local talent remains a central focus. Celebrating 50 years in business this year is a point of real pride and reflects our long-term commitment to building skills, supporting our people and contributing positively to the communities we serve.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Take the time to connect with fellow members and build relationships. We’re lucky to be part of a local community we can all be proud of, and by supporting each other, we can help the region through these uncertain times while creating real opportunities for everyone.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
Staying up to date with news and developments across the North East is a key benefit of Chamber membership, particularly through the daily morning bulletin, which provides timely and relevant insight. This is complemented by access to a strong network of local businesses and opportunities to connect and collaborate across the region.
