Trump International, Scotland is a world-class golf and luxury resort on the Aberdeenshire coast, home to two award-winning links courses – offering what we believe is the greatest 36 holes in golf. Alongside exceptional golf, we offer membership, corporate golf, luxury accommodation, dining and bespoke experiences, all set against the spectacular backdrop of the North Sea. Our aim is to deliver an outstanding experience for both local and international guests while showcasing the very best of Scotland.
Who are your customers?
Our customers are incredibly diverse. We work with individual golfers, families, corporate clients, golf societies and groups from across Scotland, the UK and internationally. We also have a strong membership base, as well as businesses looking to entertain clients, reward staff or host corporate events. Increasingly, we’re also seeing interest from visitors looking to combine golf with luxury accommodation and authentic Scottish experiences.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
One of our biggest opportunities is continuing to grow awareness of what Trump International, Scotland has to offer beyond golf. We have an exceptional product, from our Championship links and luxury accommodation to country sports, dining and bespoke experiences. There is a real opportunity to bring more visitors to Aberdeenshire and encourage them to stay longer and experience more of the region.
The challenge is making sure we continue to stand out in an increasingly competitive luxury tourism and golf market, while maintaining the exceptionally high standards our guests and members expect.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Relationships. Never underestimate the value of building genuine relationships and staying connected with people. After more than 50 years in sales and business development, I’ve seen time and again that people do business with people they know, trust and like.
Get involved, pick up the phone, attend events and make the effort to understand other businesses. You never know where the next opportunity or introduction might come from.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
For me, it’s the opportunity to connect with other businesses across Aberdeen and the wider region. The Chamber provides a fantastic platform to meet people, share ideas and build relationships across different sectors.
Having spent so many years working in Aberdeen’s business community, I particularly value the opportunity to continue those connections and introduce businesses to what we have to offer here at Trump International, Scotland.
