Arco are the UK’s leading safety experts, with over 140 years’ experience. In Aberdeen, after 37 years in the region, we’ve just opened a new Energy Safety Centre, helping companies in the oil and gas, and renewables sectors ensure business continuity, minimise risk and maximise productivity.
Who are your customers?
Broadly speaking, any business wanting to keep their staff safe and compliant. In Aberdeen we focus on the energy sector, delivering expert safety products and services – from small businesses right up to drilling companies, and onshore and offshore operators.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
Understanding the future direction of the energy sector and ensuring Arco remains at the forefront. This will enable us to continue the supply of expert safety products, training, and other services to a dynamic industry.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Network. In reality, Aberdeen is a small place, and most people try to work with local people and get to know everybody. From personal experience, it’s an approach that brings rewards.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
Overall, I admire the Chamber’s ability to bring together a different client base. This has been incredibly powerful in terms of unlocking opportunities, understanding market needs, and working together with different parties.
