Give us the elevator pitch for your business.
Somebody Cares provides truly holistic help for those in need in Aberdeen city and the Shire. From furnishing homes and providing a weeks’ food and toiletries to issuing various kitchen equipment and utensils as well as workwear and everyday clothing. All completely free of charge.
Who are your service users?
We are dedicated to supporting those facing challenging times. Those who have been homeless, others who are financially struggling, sufferers of domestic abuse, asylum seekers and refugees and many more, all of whom are supported with dignity and compassion to help pick up their lives.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
Sadly, the demand for our support is ever growing and keeping up with the sheer numbers of people requiring support is an ever-increasing challenge. Whether this be taking in enough furniture donations or providing families with sufficient food, we work tirelessly to support all those facing crisis.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
To remember with kindness those who are less fortunate than ourselves and to support charities such as Somebody Cares, helping us to help those who really need it.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
Opportunities such as this, enabling us to showcase what we do and deliver our messaging to a targeted audience.
