Who are your customers?
Our customers range from global energy operators and engineering companies to specialist manufactures and offshore service providers. We support businesses across oul, gas, renewables and wider industrial sectors from everyday shipping to more complex projects. Supporting local smaller business to larger daily requirements, we can support you locally.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
Geopolitical and macroeconomic pressures continue to create uncertainty across global supply chains, making it increasing challenging for customers to accurately forecast and manage long term shipping costs. Our biggest opportunities is to support our customers with strict international regulations whilst facing tight project deadlines or reactive responses.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Ask for clarification if you don’t understand a shipping term -assumptions can lead to financial implications and delays. Quite often your customer/supplier does not fully understand and don’t be shy - shipping is not taught in schools and you only know when you know.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
The opportunity to build strong connections within the local business community. It provides a platform to network, share knowledge and for DSV to support local international growth.
