Give us the elevator pitch for your business
We are a firm of solicitors and estate agents, who deal in residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as wills, executries and family law matters. Our aim is to provide a professional, yet approachable service to everyone who engages us and ensure that they get the outcome they want, as well as being happy with the advice given.
Service has always been at the forefront of the firm since it started in 2000, and while the firm has grown significantly since then, that personable manner has not changed which means people continue to return to us and has allowed the firm to flourish.
Who are your customers?
Our clients are wide ranging – from first time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder, to families upsizing, people downsizing and anyone in between.
We act in executry matters, so guiding those bereaved clients through the winding up of their loved ones affairs, as well as putting Wills in place for all ages – as I always say, it is never too soon to have a Will in place.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
I think the uncertainty around the oil and gas industry is probably something that will affect us, and the awareness of that is an ongoing challenge. It all has an impact on the local housing market – good and bad – so being able to adapt to circumstances that arise from out with our industry, but that directly influence it, is key for the firm going forward.
Promote yourselves and appreciate what we have in Aberdeen – it is a great city in which to live, and has great industries here, which I often think we all forget.
What is the best thing about being a chamber member
Visibility and connections – those have helped us grow but also maintain connections and clients. I think those would be my selling points to anyone who is considering joining.
