When was your business established?

I founded Prospect 13 in 2018 with the aim of making large agency-style capability available and affordable for small to medium organisations. We were the first in Scotland to introduce flexible subscription-based support packages.

What does your business do?

We are a trusted marketing powerhouse helping SME’s knock their marketing and communications into shape. We help our clients reach their creative marketing potential by offering strategic insights and direction thanks to a team of professionals who are experts in marketing strategy, branding, graphic design, and web development as well as PR, digital marketing and events.

What sort of companies do you do business with?

We support a range of cross sector clients including those working in oil and gas and renewables, to education, commercial property, travel and tourism, technology, events, and professional services. Our pool of creative talent is matched to our clients’ needs on a project-by-project basis.

What is the biggest challenge facing your business at the moment?

Finding the right people with the right skills is one thing, but finding people that closely align to your company culture and values is challenging. As our team continues to grow to support our expanding client base, it is important to invest the time to deeply consider what the business needs and how potential new recruits could add further strength and value to help us reach out shared vision for improving future outlooks.

And the biggest opportunity?

It’s essential to dedicate time and energy to our young people and I’m proud to take an active role in shaping and inspiring the workforce of the future. I have watched two placement students grow into highly motivated and successful digital marketers through mentoring and work experience at Prospect 13. We value collaboration with our clients and the wider community to shape their future outlook and we grab every opportunity to deliver real results.

What are you most passionate and proud of when it comes to your business?
The value of relationships is at the core of what we do as we know that when there’s trust, the magic happens, which then drives tangible results. I am incredibly passionate about championing small business growth and proud of the strong relationships and genuine connections we have made to support our clients who have evolved with us to be brave, be bold and be better!
