Mitchell and Murdoch Care, a provider of home care and home help services, is excited to announce a new initiative aimed at enhancing mental well-being support for its staff and service users.

Demonstrating Mitchell and Murdoch’s ongoing commitment to mental health, the Registered Manager, Marion, has recently completed the Mental Health First Aid Train the Trainer course.

This certification allows Marion to provide comprehensive mental health first aid training to all staff members, ensuring they are well-equipped to support each other and clients effectively. The training will cover essential skills and knowledge to recognise, understand, and respond to signs of mental health issues.

“Our staff’s mental wellbeing is an utmost priority” said Deklyn Mitchell, co-director of Mitchell and Murdoch Care. “By equipping our team with mental health first aid skills, we are fostering a supportive environment that benefits both our employees and our clients.”

In addition to this new training initiative, Mitchell and Murdoch Care continues to offer free counseling services to all staff members, underscoring their commitment to their overall wellbeing.

Mitchell and Murdoch Care’s focus on mental wellbeing is part of a broader strategy to create a positive and supportive workplace culture. They believe that supporting their staff’s mental health is essential to providing the highest standard of care to their clients.
