Innovative engineering firm Jbs has welcomed Alena Lamb to the business as Office Administrator.

Alongside her new role, Alena will study for a Modern Apprenticeship in Business & Administration at North East Scotland College, combining hands-on workplace experience with formal qualifications.

The appointment reflects the company's ongoing commitment to developing talent within the North-east of Scotland and supporting apprenticeship pathways. More than 60% of its staff started at Jbs as apprentices.

Jo Mcintosh, director at Jbs, said: "We're delighted to welcome Alena to the team. She joins us at an exciting time for the business, and we're looking forward to supporting her as she settles into the role and progresses through her apprenticeship."

Jbs is a Peterhead-headquartered engineering company working across four areas: fabrication and structural engineering; blast containment systems for high-risk environments including energy, aerospace and defence; screw conveyor design and manufacture; and subsea excavation using its patented Sea Axe technology.

The award-winning company has delivered projects in over 80 countries, with current operations spanning the UK, Europe, the USA, Turkey and South Korea.
