Bon Accord Care recently welcomed their new generation of support workers at an open day held at the company’s Learning Hub, 2 Croft Road, Aberdeen; to recruit new starts for their thriving modern apprenticeship programme.
During the open day, prospective applicants got the chance to meet their current Apprentices and experience some of the exciting services that Bon Accord Care provides. Some of the comments from those who attended included:
“I found the day really helpful. The information sessions gave a clear idea of what it is like to work in care.”
“I hadn’t heard of Bon Accord Care before. It looks a great company to work for.”
“Loved the free goodie bag!”
“Meeting Bon Accord Care staff was really useful.”
Modern Apprentices play a vital role within the organisation, with places available in both Business Administration and Health & Social Care.
Paul Murray, Bon Accord Care Learning & Development Manager said;
“Bon Accord Care is an exciting and progressive organisation and modern apprenticeships allow us to recruit our talent of the future, developing our young workforce to become the rising stars of tomorrow. Becoming a Modern Apprentice with Bon Accord Care provides young workers with more than just paid employment. We offer ongoing dedicated peer and pastoral support, mentoring, coaching, and the opportunity to complete a fully funded Scottish Vocational Qualification. And because we are a learning organisation, we offer an extensive range of skills and talent development to all our young workers.”
All Modern Apprentices who successfully complete the program are then offered internal employment opportunities, or can use their qualification as a springboard to other career pathways into healthcare, nursing, allied health professions such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy and medicine.
There are still a few places left on the apprenticeship programme, so if you would like further information or know someone who would like to apply, go to www.bonaccordcare.org/jobs or email jobs@bonaccordcare.org with the title Modern Apprenticeships.
