News/funding/consultations:

  • £150 cost of living payments for Scottish households – Three quarters of Scottish households will be given a £150 payment in a bid to tackle the rising cost of living. Local authorities will have the choice of delivering this either as a direct cash payment or as a credit to council tax accounts.
  • Close Contact Services Fund – the fund will provide a one-off payment to support eligible close contact service businesses impacted by the CV19 restrictions and guidance introduced from December 9, 2021 to January 24, 2022 to control the OMICRON variant. The fund opens on Monday, February 14 and close on Friday, March 4. More information can be found here.
  • Outdoor education lifeline – Outdoor education centres facing financial challenges because of the CV19 pandemic can apply this month to a new £2m fund. Available for private sector and third sector centres, the support will help with running costs and enable staff to deliver more outdoor learning for schools. More information will be released shortly.
