As demand for its services continues to rise, Mother Technologies is expanding its team to keep up.
The company has welcomed several new engineers, each bringing unique skills and enthusiasm.
Welcoming Seann
In January, Seann joined Mother Technologies as an engineering placement student. He is studying Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at Napier University in Edinburgh. Nearly three months into his 12-month placement, Seann has quickly become a valuable part of the team.
Seann is gaining hands-on experience in solving technical issues, working directly with customers, and learning from experienced engineers in Mother’s Edinburgh office. He has been involved in on-site visits, helping with installations and maintenance, and gaining real-world problem-solving skills.
Reflecting on his experience, Seann shared: “Since starting, my skills have grown a lot. I’ve enjoyed working alongside my co-workers, troubleshooting issues remotely, and learning how to solve problems in person. It’s also helped me improve my confidence when talking to customers and explaining technical issues in simple terms.”
From left, Lukasz, Martin and Thomas.
Meet Thomas
Joining the team in February, Thomas, a graduate of Abertay University with a degree in Ethical Hacking, has already made a positive impact.
In his first few months, Thomas has helped customers with both remote and on-site troubleshooting, supported computer setups, and ensured businesses are ready for new employees with the right tech.
Thomas says: “In my first month at Mother, I’ve learned so much working alongside experienced engineers. Every day presents new challenges, and I’m excited to keep learning and contributing to the team.”
Meet Martin
Martin Meszaros has joined Mother Technologies with a unique background. Originally from Hungary, he studied Software Engineering before moving to Scotland. After working in the fast-food industry, Martin decided to pursue his passion for cybersecurity.
He graduated with an Honours degree in Cybersecurity with Network Management from RGU, and he also earned 2nd place in the national WorldSkills IT Support Technician competition.
Martin has already received great feedback from customers, including: “He’s really willing to help and very positive. He’s tackled several tricky issues and has shown great confidence in resolving them. We couldn’t be happier with his work!”
Meet Lukasz
The newest addition to the team, Lukasz is passionate about IT and determined to build his career in the field. While he faced challenges due to limited experience, he is thrilled to be taking the next step at Mother Technologies.
With a focus on learning and development, Lukasz is gaining valuable skills through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced engineers. He’s already making strong progress and is eager to continue growing in his role.
Mother Technologies is excited to have Seann, Thomas, Martin, and Lukasz on board. Their presence in the office has helped enhance the team dynamic, already making a positive impact.
