Sore loser MPs are launching in a probe into the UK's "dismal" Eurovision song choice record.
In May, the UK's entry - Look Mum No Computer - once again came last with a solitary point, joining James Newman's 2021 effort which scored zero points.
Mae Muller finished second bottom in 2023, with the only recent exception to poor performances coming in 2022 when Sam Ryder finished in second place.
Now, furious government officials are investigating just why the UK consistently finished so low in the Eurovision league table.
Chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee Dame Caroline Dinenage, the BBC reports, said: "We want to get to the bottom of who chooses our entrant, on what basis and whether our dismal record of achievement in recent years [Sam Ryder to one side] is the result of bad song choice, weak performance... or something else".
Staff from the BBC, which selects the UK entrant, sometimes with a record label or music management company, could be called to give evidence before the committee.
Music industry experts could also be called before the cross-party committee hearing, likely to take place over the coming months.
The hearing will form part of the committee's State of Play inquiry, which allows members of the public to submit applications for hearings into specific subjects or concerns.
Dame Caroline told BBC News: "This application interested us because of the UK's reputation for scoring 'nul points', coming bottom, or close to bottom in recent years at Eurovision, despite having world-class song writers and musicians."
