MSP highlights Infinity Partnership award successes to Scottish Parliament

The six national award wins of an Aberdeen accountancy firm have been recognised at the Scottish Parliament.

Liam Kerr, a Scottish Conservative and Unionist Member of the Scottish Parliament for the North-east Scotland region, submitted a parliamentary motion to recognise the success of Infinity Partnership, which landed the accountancy awards at prestigious events in London in the past month.

The MSP’s motion highlights the firm’s success, adding “That the Parliament congratulates Infinity Partnership Limited on winning four awards at the IRIS Customer Awards 2018; understands that the company was awarded Firm of the Year (medium-sized practice) and Bureau/Outsource Service of the Year; further understands that two employees were also recognised at the awards, Greg Houston was awarded Accountant of the Year and Gail McShane was awarded Graduate/Trainee of the Year.”

The statement goes to on acknowledge that the awards ceremony recognises individuals and accountancy practices thriving in the digital economy, follows up on success at other awards this year and acknowledges the hard work and professionalism of all Infinity employees.

As well as the four wins this month at the IRIS Awards, Infinity won at the 2018 British Accountancy Awards for the fourth year in a row, winning Independent Firm of the Year (Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England), and Small Practice of the Year at the 2018 Accounting Excellence Awards. Both these award ceremonies took place last month.

The business recently moved to new offices double the size of its previous premises to cope with increased demand for its services. Infinity, based on Carden Place, has a team of 20.
