National alcohol and drugs in the workplace training for managers

National alcohol and drugs in the workplace training for managers is being offered by Healthy Working Lives.

This session will enable employers and managers to create a greater awareness around alcohol and drugs in their workplace and provide them with the knowledge and skills to deal with issues as they arise.

Designed by Alcohol Focus Scotland trainers, the sessions are co-ordinated and delivered by the local Healthy Working Lives team.

Managers and supervisors have a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees.

This training provides managers and supervisors with the information, knowledge and skills required to deal effectively with alcohol and drugs at work.

Delivered through blended learning the course consists of an e-learning component followed by three hours face to face training.

The e-learning component is referred to throughout the session and completion is required prior to attending.

On completing this course you will have:

  • Increased your awareness of the impact of alcohol and drugs in Scotland and specifically in the workplace
  • Increased your knowledge of the responsibilities of managers in dealing with alcohol and drugs at work
  • Increased your skills, as a manager, in identifying and addressing alcohol and drug use at work.

Course time: 10.00 – 1.00pm (Registration 15 minutes beforehand)
