The first-ever neOlympics at neospace Aberdeen brought members together for an afternoon of friendly competition, team spirit and plenty of fun.
Held on Friday 21 August in the LG car park outside the gym studio, the sports day-inspired event gave teams from across the neospace community the chance to step away from their desks and get competitive.
With a great turnout of teams taking part, the afternoon was packed with classic sports day challenges designed to test speed, coordination, teamwork and, in some cases, sheer determination.
Bringing the neospace community together
The neOlympics were created to give the neospace community an opportunity to connect outside the traditional office environment. While the event had a competitive edge, the focus was firmly on having fun and bringing people together.
Teams tackled a variety of challenges, including the egg and spoon race, tug of war, three-legged race and sack race.
There was plenty of encouragement from teammates and spectators throughout the afternoon, with some events proving particularly competitive as teams battled it out for bragging rights.
The perfect way to finish
After the races and challenges, participants were treated to a visit from an ice cream van, providing a well-earned reward after an afternoon of activity.
The ice creams were a fitting way to round off the event and gave everyone another opportunity to relax, chat and enjoy the community atmosphere.
