North East Scotland College is inviting applications as it aims to bolster the NESCol Regional Board.
The College is focusing on attracting experience and expertise in finance, with a closing date of 20 February set.
NESCol is one of the largest providers of vocational education and training in Scotland, delivering to more than 20,000 full-time, part-time and online learning students each year.
The College serves an area covering more than 2,500 square miles and directly supports more than 1,200 businesses.
It operates from the Aberdeen Altens, Aberdeen City and Fraserburgh campuses as well as the Scottish Maritime Academy in Peterhead. The Altens Campus incorporates the Energy Transition Sills Hub, launched in 2025 to drive the North East’s net zero ambitions.
Susan Elston, chair of the NESCol Regional Board, said: “Board members play a crucial role in shaping a bright and exciting future for NESCol. The strategic Plan for 2025 to 2030 sets out a vision for a College with ambitions to grow and thrive, supporting the social and economic goals of our region.
“We’re passionate about the role NESCol plays in the communities it serves, aiming to give everyone the chance to build the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in learning, life and work.
“Board members lend their experience across a broad range of specialisms to provide oversight and direction, as well as scrutinising the key functions of the College as part of a dynamic and robust governance structure underpinning a £50 million organisation.
“We are keen to add to that mix and would welcome applications from those with the qualities to help shape the College’s future.”
