Les Smith has joined Marex as its lifting technical authority, further strengthening its technical capability and the support provided to clients.
He is currently supporting a client as a lifting subject matter expert, making sure that critical operations are carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Les brings a wealth of practical and strategic knowledge to Marex. He began his career as a rigger both offshore and onshore and has since progressed into senior technical roles. His experience spans the full spectrum of lifting operations, including complex onshore, offshore and subsea projects.
At Marex, Les will focus on providing expert guidance to ensure clients remain in full compliance with LOLER and PUWER standards.
He is deeply passionate about the rigour of lifting operations, ensuring they are executed correctly every time. His expertise also extends to crane assurance audits for a variety of vessels, including heavy lift, diving support and construction support vessels.
