The new Chief Executive of Aberdeen City Council has pledged to change the perception that the local authority "doesn't listen" and to create a city "everyone is proud of".
In an exclusive interview with The Press and Journal, Andy MacDonald discussed plans to make himself and his team more "visible" to Aberdeen residents.
It comes after his predecessor, Angela Scott, had been criticised for not living in the Granite City and residing in Dundee throughout her 12 years in the role.
Mr MacDonald told The P&J: “I’ll be honest, I think there’s some feeling that we don’t listen and we don’t engage – and that’s definitely something I want to focus on immediately.
“I want to speak to people, I want to listen to people, and I want to create good relationships and partnership.
“I want Aberdeen to be a city everyone is proud of.”
