New city centre salon signs up for inaugural Aberdeen Hair and Beauty Week

A newly opened hair salon in Aberdeen is the latest business to sign up for a new festival this summer to highlight the city’s favourite hair salons, barbers, spas and cosmetic retailers.

Aberdeen Hair and Beauty Week will take place from Monday, July 2 to Sunday, July 8 and will offer a wide range of exclusive discounts, promotions and competitions across the city in time for summer.

Organised by business organisation Aberdeen Inspired, the week-long event will enhance the city centre offering and support businesses at a predominantly quiet time of year.

Newly opened Tom Stronach Hair Salon, which is in the heart of the city at 148 Union Street, is one of the many businesses which will take part in the festival.

Tom said: “We are incredibly excited and honoured to be a new addition to the city, and it could not be at a better time, when it will be celebrating everything hair and beauty.”

Tom Stronach Hair Salon will offer 15% off all cutting, styling and any colour treatments (for new clients only) for appointments made during Hair and Beauty Week.

Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “Aberdeen boasts some of the most original salons, beauty counters, barbers and cosmetic retailers in the country.

“We are spoiled for choice and we want to inspire our hair and beauty retailers to get involved and to be as imaginative as possible with their offers.

“We are really excited that Tom Stronach will be submitting offers for the week as we celebrate this exciting new addition to Union Street.

“We hope to encourage everyone to treat themselves this summer, to take advantage of all the fantastic discounts, experience our unique salons and perhaps try somewhere new.”

Multi-award-winning hair and beauty salon Linton and Mac have already signed up along with Huntsman which specialises in men’s grooming.
