New earlier morning flight from Durham Tees Valley to Aberdeen

Eastern Airways, a franchise partner of Flybe, is improving its early morning timings by 30 minutes from Durham Tees Valley Airport with a new earlier morning departure to Aberdeen, having listened to customer feedback.

From November 12, 2018 the first flight of the day (Monday - Thursday) to Aberdeen will leave Durham Tees Valley at 6.50am, arriving at 7.55am.
The UK airline will also adjust its Friday departure from Durham Tees Valley to 12.20pm, arriving in Aberdeen at 1.25pm.

Eastern Airways continues to offer a choice of flights with a schedule of up to 30 flights a week between Durham Tees Valley and Aberdeen.

Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ general manager operations, said: “Having listened to passenger feedback, we have improved the first departure of the day to an earlier 6.50am departure to North-east Scotland, which helps particularly those connecting offshore. Given many of our customers are heading with either Bristow Helicopter operated transfers or on our own integrated service to Shetland, their feedback is imperative to supporting the many who have flown with us now since 2001.

“This change and the re-timed Friday departure will also help to improve the route’s on-time performance.”

Chris Harcombe, aviation development director of Durham Tees Valley Airport, said: “We welcome these changes to the route timings, ensuring customer feedback is taken on board and enhancing this important route for the region.”

On board Eastern Airways operated Flybe flights, passengers are offered complimentary drinks and snacks. Flights are bookable at Flybe.com. Regular customers can also benefit from discounted route passes offering savings of up to 40%.
