The Russell Anderson Foundation (RAF) has announced two major new appointments to its governance and senior management teams.
Andy Troup has joined the Board of Trustees bringing extensive leadership, commercial, and community engagement experience to the charity.
As Managing Director of Raccortubi UK, and Chairman of Keith Football Club, Andy has built a strong reputation for strategic leadership, business development and creating meaningful partnerships across the energy sector. He is equally passionate about giving back to the local community and has been a long-standing supporter of initiatives that improve opportunities for young people across Aberdeen.
Andy has previously worked alongside RAF through Raccortubi UK’s support of the Foundation’s Skills Hub programme, recognising the charity’s significant impact in improving the health, wellbeing, confidence and life opportunities of children living in areas of social deprivation.
His appointment as a Trustee and Board Member reflects his commitment to supporting the Foundation’s longer-term vision, strengthening its governance and helping expand its positive impact across the wider Aberdeen area. Andy will work alongside fellow trustees to provide strategic direction, ensure good governance and support the continued growth and sustainability of the charity.
Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “It is a real honour to be invited to join the Board and become a Trustee of The Russell Anderson Foundation. It’s a charity that is close to my heart and the incredible work it does across the city of Aberdeen to improve the lives of young people living in areas of deprivation is second to none.
I look forward to working alongside Russell, Kim and my fellow Trustees to help ensure the Foundation continues to thrive and make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people for many years to come.”
And joining RAF as Business Development and Sponsorship Manager is Teresa Bremner, who believes she is ideally placed to complement the charity’s existing infrastructure. “With a background in financial sales and relationship management, I transitioned into membership recruitment at Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce before moving into the charity sector. A career highlight was project managing Clan Cancer Support’s award-winning Big Hop sculpture trail. I then moved to work in commercial management for Clan, building strategic partnerships and driving income-generating opportunities to support the charity’s vital work.”
RAF CEO Kim Woolner is excited with the additions. “Both Andy and Teresa bring qualities that can only be extremely beneficial for us and already both are making a significant positive impact on our vital work across the city.”
