Aberdeen-based charity, Befriend a Child is inviting women of all golfing abilities to attend its first-ever Ladies’ Charity Golf Day on Friday 5th September 2025 at Kippie Lodge.
Whether you're new to the sport or you've been playing for years, this fun-filled event promises an enjoyable day out with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, providing plenty of laughs, good company and friendly competition.
On the day, you will be greeted with breakfast rolls on arrival, enjoy a relaxed 4-Ball Texas Scramble, receive tips from the professional and sit down to a delicious prosecco afternoon tea in the greenhouse at Kippie Lodge.
This year marks a significant milestone for Befriend a Child, who have been providing life-changing support for disadvantaged children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for 50 years.
Jenna Simpson, senior fundraising co-ordinator at Befriend a Child, said: “We’re so excited to host our very first Ladies’ Golf Day. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or picking up a club for the first time, you’re warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of fun before we raise a glass of fizz together as we toast to 50 years of friendships.”
Every swing and putt on the course will help raise vital funds for Befriend a Child, supporting their mission to provide friendship and positive role models to young people growing up in difficult life circumstances.
Since 1975, Befriend a Child has been there to provide stability, encouragement and the simple but powerful gift of a trusted adult in a young person’s life. Through befriending, mentoring, group activities and family support, they help build brighter futures for children who need it most.
