The Aberdeen City & Shire Hotel Association (ACSHA) has announced the appointment of a new Chair and Vice Chair as it continues to champion and support the region’s hospitality sector.
Mark Langham, Cluster General Manager of Hilton Aberdeen TECA and Aloft Aberdeen TECA, has been appointed as the new Chair.
A seasoned hospitality professional and Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, Mark brings a wealth of experience from across the sector, having managed Hilton, Marriott, IHG and independent boutique hotels in locations throughout the UK and Ireland.
Joining him as Vice Chair is Jamie Aitken, Joint Hotel Manager of Douneside House & Health Club.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including the past decade in Aberdeenshire, Jamie has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality guest experiences and leading effective hotel operations.

In their new roles, Mark and Jamie will work closely with fellow hoteliers to address current and future challenges, encourage sustainable growth, and represent the interests of hotel owners and operators across the North-east.
The Association also paid tribute to Frank Whitaker, who has stepped down as Chair after a period of dedicated service.
His leadership, commitment and passion for the sector have played a key role in strengthening collaboration across the region, support sustainable growth, and ensure the voice of the hospitality industry is effectively represented.
The new appointments mark an exciting new chapter for ACSHA as it continues to advocate for and support hotels and hospitality businesses across the North-east.
