A new LinkedIn group, Aberdeen City & Shire Public Sector Supply Chain Network | Groups | LinkedIn, has been launched by Business Gateway to support businesses across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire that are interested in engaging with public sector procurement.
The group has been established to improve awareness of public sector opportunities and provide practical support to businesses seeking to bid for contracts published through Public Contracts Scotland (PCS). It aims to act as a central hub for sharing relevant information and encouraging greater participation from the local supply chain.
Through the platform, members will receive regular updates on contract opportunities, as well as information on training, events and Meet the Buyer sessions designed to support tender readiness. In addition, the group will share guidance and good practice to help businesses better understand procurement processes and requirements.
The initiative is intended to strengthen engagement across the North East of Scotland, ensuring local businesses are better positioned to compete for public sector work and contribute to regional economic growth.
Ben Lee, supply chain development officer for Business Gateway, said: “The group has been created to help local businesses better understand the public sector landscape and access more opportunities. By improving awareness and readiness, it is hoped more organisations across the region will feel confident in submitting bids and identifying where to find relevant opportunities.”
Stakeholders and partner organisations are encouraged to share the group within their networks to maximise its reach and impact across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
