Healthoutfit has launched Fit2Fly Fast Track, an 8-week, coach-led weight management programme built specifically for the offshore workforce.
Available now through the Fit2Fly digital platform at fit2fly.vip, it condenses the most relevant content from the full 24-week Fit2Fly programme into eight focused weeks, for workers who need a shorter programme.
The launch coincides with the Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) safe weight limit, which came into effect on 1 November 2026. Any worker weighing more than 124kg clothed can no longer travel offshore.
Fit2Fly Fast Track delivers offshore-specific content, from choosing healthier eating in the galley and staying hydrated to managing sleep and stress on rotation. Each participant has a dedicated Wellness Coach, with one-to-one conversations and coaching messages across the eight weeks, and uses simple self-measurement tools to track progress. For energy sector employers, the programme offers a structured way to support employees affected by the weight requirements.
Stephen McIntosh, Managing Director of Healthoutfit, says, “The introduction of the offshore safe weight limit represents a significant change for our industry. We believe employers should be supporting their people proactively rather than waiting until weight becomes a barrier to offshore travel. This isn’t simply about losing weight. It’s about helping individuals make meaningful, sustainable changes that support their health, confidence and ability to work.”
“The new safe weight limit is now in force, and today we’re launching Fit2Fly Fast Track to help offshore workers meet it in a way that supports their long-term health,” says Georgina Howden, Wellbeing & Lifestyle Manager at Healthoutfit. “Weight loss is more than what’s on your plate. Long rotations, shift patterns, disrupted sleep, stress and time away from home all shape our habits, so counting calories alone is not enough. Fit2Fly Fast Track looks at movement, mindset and nutrition together, as all our workplace programmes do. When people feel stronger, rest better and know how to handle pressure, good choices come more naturally, and healthier people make for safer workplaces.”
