Healthoutfit has launched Fit2Fly, a digital weight management platform built specifically for the offshore workforce.
Accessible from any device at fit2fly.vip, the 24-week programme gives every subscriber a dedicated Wellness Coach, body composition tracking (including 3D body scans for those based in or travelling through Aberdeen), and practical tools designed around the realities of offshore life, whether they’re on the rig or at home between rotations.
The launch comes at a critical time. Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) has set a clear deadline: from 1 November 2026, any worker weighing more than 124kg clothed will not be permitted to travel offshore and will not receive a valid medical certificate.

OEUK estimates around 5,000 offshore workers may be affected to varying degrees. The transition phase is already underway, with reduced-duration medical certificates being issued to those near or above the limit - and the clock is ticking.
“Fit2Fly isn’t an off-the-shelf solution, it’s been built from the ground up by our team, drawing on years of hands-on experience in workplace wellness,” says Georgie Howden, Wellbeing & Lifestyle Manager at Healthoutfit. “What makes it work is that every bit of personalisation comes not from an algorithm, but from a real Wellness Coach who genuinely knows their stuff, whether that’s building someone’s exercise programme or reviewing their nutrition.
Georgie continues, “We’ve built Fit2Fly around the specific challenges offshore workers face every day, from eating in the galley to staying active on a platform. This isn’t about deprivation, it’s about education, support, and building habits that last. The November deadline is real, and we want people to meet it feeling better than ever.”
