NHV Group is on the lookout for a commercial leader to take on the role of Group Commercial Director (GCD), a key executive position aimed at accelerating growth across complex global markets.

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing a unified commercial strategy spanning multiple regions and sectors. The role is designed for a high-impact leader who can deliver profitable growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, and further establish the company’s position as a market leader in the aviation industry.

The Group Commercial Director will oversee commercial direction and performance across a diverse portfolio that includes Oil & Gas Offshore, Wind Energy, Shipping Pilot Services, Government & Military operations, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). While the position can be based at any of the company’s operational hubs, Aberdeen is cited as the preferred location.

Key responsibilities include developing a global commercial growth strategy in close collaboration with senior leadership, identifying new market opportunities through industry insight, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The role also involves leading complex bids and tenders, representing the company in high-level negotiations, and managing the full sales pipeline using CRM systems such as Salesforce.

In addition, the GCD will oversee commercial performance at selected operational bases, ensuring contractual excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction. The position also carries a strategic advisory function, contributing to executive-level decision-making and long-term planning, while mentoring commercial teams to foster a high-performance culture.

The company is seeking a commercially driven professional with significant leadership experience in international environments. Candidates are expected to hold at least a bachelor’s degree or possess equivalent industry experience, along with strong knowledge of the aviation sector, particularly helicopter services.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate expertise in managing high-value client relationships, leading commercial initiatives, and negotiating complex agreements. Strong communication skills and fluency in English are essential, as is the ability to leverage digital tools to produce high-quality proposals and presentations.

Described as a unique opportunity, the role offers considerable autonomy and influence within a dynamic international setting. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping commercial strategy and contributing directly to the organization’s long-term success.

Applications are now open for candidates who are confident decision-makers, skilled relationship builders, and results-oriented professionals ready to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
