Fragomen-owned immigration technology specialist Nomadic has moved to a larger office in the heart of London.

Launched at the start of 2019, Nomadic was founded by experienced figures in the global immigration industry to bring an automated technological approach to the immigration compliance side of short-term travel.

It was announced in June last year that Nomadic had been acquired by global immigration services firm Fragomen. Nomadic forms an integral part of Fragomen Technologies Inc., a Fragomen subsidiary focused on the nexus of law and technology.

The move to larger premises in City Point Moorgate in the City of London – strategically situated near several embassies – will allow the Nomadic team to grow from 20 to 30-plus. There is also scope for expansion at the new office.

The technology-led company is uniquely positioned in this specialist market as the only provider of an end-to-end solution for international compliance, as companies contend with Covid-19, Brexit and continual changes to travel and visa rules. The digital platform is used by small, medium and large businesses and organisations.

Nomadic EMEA director Neil Thomson, who is based at the company’s Westhill office, near Aberdeen, said: “The investment in our London office has been due to increased demand for services, in particular for companies looking for an efficient approach to the ever-increasing complexities of workforce planning, cross-border travel, employee duty of care responsibilities and potential liabilities for failing to comply with immigration rules.”

Nomadic ensures users are ‘travel-ready’, meeting stringent immigration, documentation and health criteria. In addition, its optional GPS capabilities take it to another level, supporting traceability of staff for on-going compliance support, risk management and duty of care responsibilities.

The cloud-based application encapsulates an end-to-end traveller profile, from pre-trip compliance assessment and visa requirements through to live updates. The innovation is aimed at all travelling abroad to work.

Using the portal online or via their smartphone, the user simply selects their proposed destination to bring up all relevant documentation, with a previously created traveller profile automatically populating sections. The completed documents are sent by the traveller to the relevant embassy, global Nomadic hub or Nomadic in-country partner for lodging.

Nomadic works with more than 80 partners worldwide to cover 170 countries. Fragomen has more than 4,000 immigration professionals.
