St Margaret’s Braemar is excited to welcome internationally acclaimed folk trio The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc for a live concert on Wednesday 7th May.

The trio - Kevin Henderson (Shetland), Olav Luksengård Mjelva (Norway), and Anders Hall (Sweden) - blend the rich fiddle traditions of their home countries into a powerful and beautifully layered sound. Their music is both traditional and fresh, earning them fans across Europe, the US, and beyond.

The group has released three albums, including their latest, Bonfrost, and are known for their close musical chemistry and vibrant live performances.

This will be a rare chance to hear them in Scotland, in the atmospheric setting of St Margaret’s Braemar, a venue known for its stunning acoustics and unique character.

Looking ahead to next week’s performance, St Margaret’s venue manager Lyndsey Boden said: “We’re thrilled to host The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc at St Margaret’s. Their music is rooted in deep tradition, but it also feels completely alive and relevant.

“This trio has a rare ability to connect with audiences, whether you're a lifelong folk fan or hearing Nordic tunes for the first time.

“It's going to be a fantastic night of music in our beautiful venue – one not to miss.”
