NorSea UK, part of the Wilhelmsen group, is strengthening access to essential marine products across Scotland as Wilhelmsen’s appointed service provider.

The agreement, effective from May 2026, is already bringing greater flexibility and faster response times for procurement companies, vessel agents and owners, and marine supply businesses throughout Scotland. It builds on Aberdeen-based NorSea UK’s multi-service solutions supporting offshore energy, renewables, general maritime operations, vessel repair and maintenance, vessel fabrication, fishing and leisure craft.

With expanded local stockholding and distribution capabilities, customers in Aberdeen can access smaller quantities within hours, while deliveries across Scotland, including island locations, are targeted within 48 hours. Access to Wilhelmsen’s globally trusted products has also expanded; enabling companies of all sizes to order locally online.

The agreement delivers value for companies through a more responsive, sustainable and flexible supply solution. It enables easier access to globally recognised products through a local supplier, with local stock availability and rapid delivery reducing costs, transport distances, and associated emissions.

Andrew Pettican, UK Director at NorSea UK explains: “This is an exciting and natural development for NorSea UK and Wilhelmsen. The partnership creates a streamlined, responsive service model for the Scottish maritime sector. By increasing local stock availability and improving delivery capabilities, we can reduce vessel downtime while supporting sustainability and strengthening the North Sea supply chain.”

Wilhelmsen Ships Service is a global leader in marine products, chemicals and gases, supporting vessels at more than 2,200 port destinations in over 100 countries. The company is part of the Wilhelmsen group, recognised globally for quality products, operational value, and customer service.

The agreement also reflects both organisations’ long-term commitment to supporting jobs, enabling business growth and developing innovative, sustainable solutions for the marine and offshore sectors during increasingly challenging market conditions.
