The North East Scotland Business Academy (NES Business Academy) will return this August with a new quarterly programme designed to support SMEs across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Following the success of its launch event earlier this year, which attracted more than 50 attendees from businesses across the region, the NES Business Academy will begin its quarterly event programme in August, with further sessions planned for November, February and May.
The first event, which will take place at the Village Hotel in Kingswells on Thursday 20th August (8.30am-12pm), is titled PLAN and is designed for founders at the beginning of their business journey who are looking to build stronger foundations for growth.
Bringing together experts from Blackadders, Prospect 13, ActionCOACH and Hall Morrice, attendees will receive advice across a range of disciplines including legal, marketing, coaching and finance.
Elementz CEO, Jason Brown, will also join the event as a guest speaker, sharing first-hand insight into his own business journey and how he and his team have successfully built a £3 million plus business in less than two years.
Commenting on the return of NES Business Academy, Louise Smith of Hall Morrice said: “Our first event showed there is a clear appetite among business owners for joined-up advice and guidance.
“That is exactly why the NES Business Academy was created. It brings experienced advisers together in one room to support business owners through the key stages of running a business.
“The PLAN event is focused on those early stages, when founders are trying to build strong foundations, create momentum and understand what they need to prioritise. It gives attendees the chance to learn from specialists across different disciplines, while also connecting with other business owners who are facing similar opportunities and challenges.
“We are delighted that Jason Brown will be joining us to share his experience of building Elementz into a multi-million-pound business in a remarkably short period of time.”
The NES Business Academy was inspired by the success of Blackadders Aberdeen HR Club and a growing demand from business owners for clearer, more integrated guidance as they start, grow, scale and plan for exit.
Future events will focus on consistency as you grow, scaling with structure and being ready for what comes next.
