North Sea Midstream Partners (NSMP) is celebrating ten years of ownership of the St Fergus Gas Terminal and the FUKA and SIRGE pipeline systems.

NSMP acquired the assets in 2016, growing its existing business to become a leading independent gas transportation and processing infrastructure company in the North Sea. The assets have the ability to transport and process up to 1,270 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day and have maintained greater than 99% asset availability.

Located on the north-east of Scotland, for the last 48 years the St Fergus Gas Terminal and FUKA pipeline network has played a vital role supporting the UK’s energy security and powering UK economy.

Angela Fletcher, CEO of NSMP, said: “St Fergus has been at the heart of the UK’s energy system for nearly half a century and its strategic importance has never been clearer. At a time when energy security is a national priority, North Sea gas must remain an important part of our domestic energy mix.

"As we celebrate ten years of owning the St Fergus Terminal and the FUKA and SIRGE pipelines, it is important to recognise the important role that our operating partner PX Group, our supply chain community and workforce have played. Together we have delivered exemplary safety, environmental and operating performance. We appreciate their continuing support and contribution.  We also thank our customers who continue to invest in the UKCS. Together we will deliver the UK’s energy today and for decades to come.”
