The contract with the UK Energy Technology Platform will help the United Kingdom to further its objectives to accelerate the move to net zero whilst meeting the UK’s energy demand and energy security requirements. It will allow businesses and individuals to easily find, select, rank and deploy effective emerging and field proven technologies, as well as get expert advice on which ones would best suit their needs.
Carlo Procaccini, North Sea Transition Authority Head of Technology, said:
“Operators submit annual Technology Plans which identify their technology needs by asset, deployment of existing and emerging technologies and R&D efforts to close technology gaps. This contract with the UK Energy Technology Platform, will provide a valuable tool to help deliver their technology activities more effectively. Accelerating the uptake of relevant technology and improving safety as well as business performance will help to maximise economic recovery whilst reducing emissions during our energy transition journey to net zero.”
TechnologyCatalogue.com Co-founder and CEO, Erik Nijveld, said: “We are delighted to be working with the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) to help accelerate the deployment of technologies in the United Kingdom. Our platform provides a unique service that will be of great benefit to businesses to reduce CO2 emissions, reduce costs and improve safety.”
Carjon-NRG Managing Director and UK Partner at TechnologyCatalogue.com, Colin Black, said: “The UK Energy Technology platform was developed to address a lack of visibility of emerging & field proven technologies identified by the Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) led Efficiency Task Force (ETF) and is fully aligned with the NSTA Lifecycle Categories and Priorities. It already contains >550 technologies, and further Technology Solutions are being added every week. It is actively being used by energy companies in the UK.”
As part of the agreement with the NSTA, UK suppliers can make unlimited use of the “Starter” subscription, which will allow them to promote their technologies to companies on the platform. Technologies will not only be visible to UK companies, but also to companies outside the UK via the global platform TechnologyCatalogue.com. UK-based Operators, end-users, EPC contractors and consultants can make unlimited use of the “Explorer” subscription, which will allow them to access the full range of technologies available on the platform. In addition to these subscriptions, we offer suppliers and companies premium subscriptions that will give them access to more advanced functionality, such that the uptake of technology is accelerated even further.
