Following a close-run nomination and voting cycle in December 2025, the local charity Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation has been selected by the Odfjell Technology UK team as its chosen cause for 2026. The organisation will be supported through a series of fundraising activities taking place throughout the year.
Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation was established in memory of Abbie, who passed away at the age of 15 after living with sarcoma. The charity supports the physical and mental well-being of children undergoing cancer treatment.
Fundraising efforts began last month, when a team from the Odfjell Technology UK offices took part in the first Kiltwalk event of 2026 in Glasgow. Marking a milestone for the team, four colleagues have committed to completing all four Kiltwalk events this year—Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.
The team completed their first event successfully, marking the start of what will be a significant fundraising challenge across the year.
While completing a single long-distance Kiltwalk is a notable achievement, undertaking all four events represents a significant challenge.
