OEG, a global energy solutions company, has signed a seven-year agreement to supply 50 offshore chemical tanks to a major speciality chemicals company in Brazil, as operators move to lock in long-term access to equipment amid tightening supply.

The 5,200-litre-capacity tanks will be rented to support the customer’s offshore operations in the region. The agreement marks a new customer relationship for OEG.

The contract strengthens the position of OEG in Brazil’s offshore energy market. All the supplied tanks meet IMO 860 standards and comply with Brazilian Navy regulatory requirements, ensuring full alignment with local and international safety and operational frameworks.

OEG’s 24,000 m² facility in Macaé provides extensive capacity for the storage and maintenance of cargo carrying units (CCUs) and tanks, supported by a 3,000 m² workshop for servicing and repairs.

The long-term agreement reflects growing demand for high-quality offshore logistics and chemical handling solutions across Brazil’s expanding energy sector, while providing the customer with secure access to compliant equipment.

Ramon Souza, General Manager of OEG Brazil, said: "This contract demonstrates the confidence major industry players place in OEG’s operational capabilities, asset quality and service standards. Against a backdrop of tightening availability of high‑quality equipment, agreements like this enable us to support customers with greater certainty by providing long‑term access to safe, compliant and efficient solutions.

“Global demand for containers is forecast to keep growing, while supply is under pressure, especially without new investment. For Brazil, that dynamic makes long‑term contracts like this essential to help safeguard equipment availability and give customers greater confidence and budget certainty over the long term.”
