With just one week to go, Empower Aberdeen is ready to bring the city together at the Music Hall on Wednesday 8 October.
The event will feature 60 local and national organisations, offering free advice and support on energy, housing, money, mental health, employment, and more.
Confirmed attendees include CFINE, Simon Community Scotland, Home-Start Aberdeen, and Aberdeen Foyer, alongside dozens of other charities working on the frontline of the cost-of-living crisis.
The Lord Provost of Aberdeen will officially open the event at 10am, joined by community leaders and local media.
Empower Aberdeen is designed to offer something for everyone. Charities can use the day as a networking opportunity, politicians and community leaders can engage directly with residents during Challenge Poverty Week, and individuals can access practical support for a wide range of issues. From retrofit funding and fuel vouchers to community groups and employment advice, there is support available for almost every need.
Lawrence Johnston, Co-CEO at Scarf, said: "This is the moment where the city comes together. Whether you’re struggling with bills, looking for work, or just need to know where to turn, Empower Aberdeen is here to help. It's free support, no jargon, no pressure. Just real help from organisations that genuinely care."
