NOR Offshore Rental, Aberdeen, currently have an open position for a ROV Tooling Technician (UK).
Norwegian Offshore Rental (NOR) is a leading international provider of rental equipment and services to the offshore, subsea, and renewable energy industries, including offshore wind.
The team are experiencing significant growth and are now looking for Tooling Technicians. NOR are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and is committed to quality and precision, has a good technical understanding, enjoys collaborating, and helping colleagues achieve common goals.
NOR are seeking a skilled ROV Tooling Technician to join the team and support the operation, maintenance, and repair of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Tooling equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Testing, maintenance, and preparation of ROV Tooling equipment for rental and sale
- Prepare and test tooling equipment before rental, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards.
- Assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ROV tooling, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all tooling maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
- Assist with inventory management and procurement of spare parts and consumables.
- Takes initiative when it comes to working and adapting tooling to customer’s requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or marine engineering.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in ROV operations, subsea intervention, or tooling maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems used in subsea tooling.
- Good knowledge of English, both oral and written
