Organisations in the north of Scotland are being urged to submit their applications for a share of £2million from SSEN Transmission’s regional community benefit fund, ahead of the deadline for applications at midday on Wednesday, 19 November.
With just over a week left until the deadline, the Perth-based business is encouraging organisations to submit their applications for a minimum amount of £40,000 up to £500,000 for projects that will aid skills development, support the culture of the region, or help alleviate fuel poverty.
There has been strong interest in the latest round of the fund, which opened to applications in August, and followed an initial funding round which saw £2m awarded to organisations across the north of Scotland.
Awards from the latest funding round are expected to be made in February 2026.
Independent Chair of the fund, Peter Peacock, said: “We have received a high number of enquiries regarding the latest round of our regional fund, that is already delivering transformational impact and improving places and the lives of people in the north of Scotland.
“With just over a week left for applications, we encourage any organisations who are applying for funding to submit their applications in time.
“We are excited to review applications that will help with skills and employability, create stronger places and help alleviate fuel poverty, and we look forward to announcing successful applications early next year.”
