The Press and Journal is urging readers across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray and the Highlands to share what will shape their vote in May’s Scottish Parliament election.

The news outlet wants to know what issues people in the North-east care about so it can put concerns to candidates on the campaign trail.

A questionnaire asks voters to outline the issues most likely to determine how they cast their ballot – from the state of the NHS and the rising cost of living to education, housing, crime and the future of the North Sea energy sector.

You can complete the questionnaire here.

In its appeal, the P&J adds: “Whatever you think, you can tell us in our election survey and explain why it matters so much to you.”

Responses will shape campaign coverage, with the politics team pledging to take readers’ “hopes and fears” directly to those seeking to become Scotland’s next first minister.

The paper concludes: “Help us identify what really matters for the upcoming election as we continue to hold your elected officials to account, turning local concerns into national conversations.”
