Exporting to the United States has become significantly more complex for Scotland's ecommerce brands this year due to the the removal of the long-standing de minimis exemption.

This now means that even low-value parcels are now subject to duties, tariffs, and additional customs checks which in turn can mean higher costs, risk of customer complaints, and another hurdle to jump as a founder.

Packed Posted - the Aberdeen-based fulfilment partner for start-ups - has announced the expansion of their Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) fulfilment services to the United States, following increased demand since the removal of the US de minimis exemption.

For the first time Duty & Tariff prepayments are possible across all US services, ranging from Express (1-3 day transit time) to Super Economy (5-10 day transit time) routes.

If shipping to the US is becoming challenging, this could be the moment to leverage our economies of scale. Contact gregor@packedposted.com to learn more.
