Leading Scottish commercial law firm MacRoberts has strengthened its corporate finance and employment practices with the promotion of two new Partners.

Bonar Mercer (left) specialises in corporate law, focusing on transactional work including mergers, acquisitions and investments. He advises on transactions across numerous sectors of the economy, with particular experience in healthcare, financial services and energy. Bonar has experience advising owner-managed businesses, corporate acquirers, PLCs, investors and public sector bodies.

Kenny Scott (right) is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Specialist in Employment Law and advises employers across a wide range of sectors on the full spectrum of employment law and HR matters. Kenny has extensive experience in advising on workplace disputes, discrimination matters, the conduct of ET claims, whistleblowing and employment data protection issues as well as partnering with clients on restructurings, TUPE, organisational change, the employment aspects of insolvency situations and the provision of tailored employment law training for managers. He also regularly advises senior executives and individuals on settlement agreements, restrictive covenants and bringing employment tribunal claims.
