PCL Group, the global provider of information technology and cyber security services, has further reinforced its reputation as a top level supplier to clients across all business sectors by upgrading and recertifying its ISO 9001 accreditation.
The Aberdeen-headquartered organisation, which operates in 27 countries, already held ISO 9001 but took the decision to recertify with DNV, one of the world’s leading accreditors, to reflect market expectations for suppliers to be accredited by known auditors.
The quality management recertification, which provides additional reassurance for clients from independent consultants to blue chip multi-national corporations, comes at a time when PCL Group has made significant investment in a new cyber security service specifically tailored for SMEs.
Backed by three new appointments, the service offers bespoke, affordable cyber protection for SMEs, the majority of whom have no cyber defence in place to protect them from attack yet are as much at threat as high profile organisations such as M&S and Coop, both hacked in 2025.
“Although we have held ISO 9001 certification for some time, we constantly look for ways in which we can improve our service delivery to clients, and that includes providing them with the accredited reassurance that they are in safe hands with regards to the IT and cyber support we give them,” said Jeanette Forbes, chief executive officer of PCL Group.
“Organisations now actively look for suppliers accredited by respected names they know and trust, and this recertification demonstrates to them that we have the same commitment to the highest standards of excellence.”
PCL Group is now working towards its ISO 27001 accreditation, the globally recognised standard for Information Security Management which verifies that a company has a structured method for handling sensitive information, safeguarding it from risks such as cyberattacks and data breaches.
