A surprise beer collaboration between Premier League legend Peter Crouch and Ellon craft beer giant BrewDog has become a sell-out hit.
What started out as a laugh over lockdown on his acclaimed That Peter Crouch Podcast has now become a reality.
The former Liverpool and England striker and his co-stars created a drink that was "part lager and part stout" - coming up with the name Laout.
However, in the season six podcast finale, Crouch actually launched the drink.
He said: "This started as a little joke on our podcast, but it's become something special. Our dreams have become a reality, thanks to BrewDog.
"It's the marriage you didn't know you needed - half lager and half stout. The Laout is born. Be parched no more."
And it appears the drink has hit the back of the net with UK consumers - after selling out just hours after it was launched.
BrewDog CEO James Watt tweeted: "LAOUT, the amazing new beer we made with @petercrouch not only sold out in record quick time but it is also trending on twitter.
"Due to the crazy levels of demand, we are brewing another batch."
