Darran Mackie has been promoted to General Manager – operations at Petrasco, a leading provider of international logistics solutions to the energy industry.
Established in 1974, Petrasco specialises in everything from air, sea and road freight services to customs compliance, warehousing and distribution for clients around the world through its dedicated operations in the major energy hubs of Aberdeen, Dubai and Houston.
Based at the company’s Dyce headquarters, Darran first joined Petrasco in 2019 and has held various positions within the company, from driver to management level. He has 18 years’ industry experience with particular expertise in supply chain operations, transport, logistics, warehouse management and procurement.
Previously Logistics and Business Support Manager, Darran is well-versed and able to assist on almost any logistics requirement, including critical and out-of-gauge movements by road, as well as specialist procurement services.
Working closely alongside regional director Ross Cochrane and operations manager Garrie Maitland, Darran will be responsible for leading the company’s operational, logistics, transport, procurement and business support functions to ensure the delivery of exceptional service standards, operational excellence and sustainable business growth.
