Denholm Pipetech (Pipetech), a Denholm Environmental subsidiary, has committed to its Norwegian roots, following a six-figure (GBP) in-country investment.
Originally founded in Stavanger 26 years ago, the flow remediation specialist has officially moved into a 950sqm facility, accompanied by the appointment of a new management position. The investment is part of a long-term move to bolster its connection to the Norwegian Continental Shelf and North Sea.
Located in Sandnes, the facility includes six offices, a workshop, and yard space, giving Pipetech the capacity to deliver its pipe and process cleaning solutions on-site. At the new facility, Pipetech will welcome client assets and deliver proven cleaning remedies, including its Aqua Milling® technology and high-pressure water jetting, to revitalise systems and target disruptive foulants such as wax and hard scale.
Alongside its established solutions, Pipetech has invested more than half a million (GBP) to upgrade the facility and van fleet, and to acquire new equipment for local energy sector clients. This includes a NORSOK Z-015-compliant pump awaiting delivery for Norway’s offshore market. The high-flow unit delivers 182 litres per minute at pressures of up to 1,020 bar to power Aqua Milling® and DSR tooling.
Complementing the facility, Henning Petersen has been appointed Pipetech's in-country Norwegian Sales Manager. Based at Pipetech's new facility alongside his colleagues, Henning will be responsible for driving continued interest in Pipetech technology and solutions, accessing new opportunities, and supporting parent company Denholm Environmental's expansion into the Norwegian market.
As Pipetech's dedicated Norwegian sales resource, Henning, a Norway native, arrives in his new role well-connected following 10+ years working within the region's oil and gas supply chain, including positions that deal with a similar client base to promote asset integrity solutions.
On his new role, Henning commented: "When you work in the oil and gas sector in Norway, you don't have to venture too far to find someone familiar with Pipetech. That reputation and awareness make me incredibly proud to be joining the team here at a pivotal moment. Alongside our new facilities, we have a strong sense of what we are trying to achieve in the local market.
Through our established solutions like Aqua Milling® and the ongoing development of our Downhole Scale Remediation tool, plus our proven track record of in-country projects and support, I have all the resources needed to help push us forward. I'm looking forward to welcoming clients on-site and getting out to see them too."
Leonard Hamill, Operations Director at Pipetech, added: "We've got a rich history in Norway, and this is just the latest chapter. It's particularly exciting to be bringing our parent company Denholm Environmental into the fold in-country too. Over the last few years, we've been exploring how we can strengthen our foothold in Norway, and following Denholm's investment into us last year, those plans are now being fully realised.
We knew we needed another dedicated resource in the region, and that's where Henning fits in. His infectious drive, people-centred focus, and strong network make him a fantastic addition, complementing our existing team nicely. Between Henning, the new facility, and the investment we've made in new kit, we're in a great position for 2027."
